Carlos Andrés Holguín is the Executive President of INSOTEC, an Ecuadorian non-profit microfinance institution focusing on increasing access to financing for low-income microentrepreneurs in the country. From 2012 to 2015, Mr. Holguin was the CFO and Deputy CEO of FINCA Ecuador and a member of FINCA International Capital Markets, a team responsible for financing 23 microfinance operations worldwide

He was also a Board Member of FINA El Salvador. Prior to this, Mr. Holguin was responsible for assessing the macroeconomic Risks at Banco Pichincha and before that at Produbanco. From 2005-2010 he was the CEO of Urbana Inmobiliaria in Ecuador, in charge of developing affordable housing in Ecuador. From 2002 to 2004, he was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Quito, where he developed financing programs for informal street vendors operating in downtown Quito, with the aim to encourage them to transfer their businesses to formal shopping centers. Mr. Holguin is an Economist and holds a Master´s in Finance from the Adolfo Ibáñez University, Santiago de Chile.
