Headquartered in Uganda, Fenix is a next- generation energy company whose flagship product, Fenix Power, is a modular, lease- to-own solar home system financed through affordable instalments from just USD 0.11 per day.
With real-time transaction data, Fenix creates a next-generation credit score to finance power upgrades and other life-changing loans, unlocking modern financial
services for off-grid customers. To date, Fenix has sold over 500,000 solar home systems in Uganda, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria and Mozambique, bringing
clean, reliable power for lights, phones, radios, TV and much more to over 2,500,000 people. Prior to founding Fenix, Brian was an early member of the iPod operations
team, where he served as operations lead for the development and introduction of the iPod mini. He has also worked at startups in Boston and San Francisco, including co-founding the off-grid energy company Potenco. Brian earned a BS from Brown University and MS in Materials Engineering from MIT. For fun, Brian enjoys mountain biking, carving on alpine snowboards, exploring the hidden secrets of Paris by e-scooter, and travelling across Africa.
